PDF output problem for checkbox like "Ticks" displayed in reports

Hi All,
we created a report that should render some "checked items" (like the ticks
in a checkbox) to indicate the given answers for multiple chooice questions
from a questionaire.
Displaying the tick is done by using a unicode character from the font "MS
Mincho". When we render the report in report viewer, all seems to be fine,
but when rendered to a pdf it goes wrong; the "tick" is replaced with a
question mark.
We can't find any specific unicode/pdf related settings for RS. Any clues.
Many thanks in advance,
TimHi tvds,
I have exactly the same problem, did you find any solution?
Thanks,
Markus

PDF generation without the save/open window

When we generate a report directly to PDF the user is asked to open or save
the PDF before it is displayed.
Is there a way to have the PDF open automatically without that window being
displayed?
Thanks! We are having the exact same problem....did you ever get an answer to this
problem ? Anyone come across this previously '
Thanks

Sadly, we have not received a response. This is a significant drawback for
my users and we would welcome any information about this issue.

pretty easy to replace our UI with your own that did not exhibit this
behavior.
