I have a very simple report with a matrix and a subreport chart.
2 rows in a table object, Row 1 has Matrix, Row 2 has Chart.
When I export to PDF, the Page always breaks before I get the chart.
If I put the chart in Row 1 and the Matrix in Row 2, no problem with
page break.
Any ideas?
I've posted quite a few times re: the PDF exporting of Reporting
Services, I see this as the major weakness of the product. Does MS
have any plans to correct the PDF engine so it robust enought?
Thanks.

heuert@.comcast.netI have run into similar sounding problems and have had little response. It
appears there are a number of known issues with PDF and Excel for that
matter, but I havent heard if and when they are going to address them.

passing row to custom code
I wish to pass the current row to a custom function in reporting
services...does anyone have the syntax for this?
It would looking like: txtMybox.value = ParseInformation( current_row)
ThanksRoy.
Your value should be
=Code.ParseInformation(Fields!CurrentRow.Value)
Now, this is subject to what "current row" is refering to. If your
referencing just 1 field in the current row then the above is approriate;
however if you are trying to pass 2, or n number of fields, you need to
either
a) concatenate them together such as
Code.ParseInformation(FIelds!Field_1.Value+Fields!Field_2.Value+...Fields!Field_n.Value)
OR make in your custom code create a variable for each field to be passed,
and call the code like:
Code.ParseInformation(Fields!Field_1.Value,Fields!Field_2.Value,...,Fields!Field_n.Value)

Passing row data!
Hi Team,
I am trying to build a report which compose of EmployeeName and his order assigned. First of all, I created a dataset which include all of the employee name, then I created another dataset which return all the count of the order by passing the employeeName as parameter. My question is how to pass the employee name which are generated from the first dataset and then pass to the second dataset?
Any help I will greatly appreciate.
You can refer to the value of the first parameter in the query parameter value expression of the second dataset. For example, =Parameters!<param1>.Value.
